The Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Utah provides outstanding care for patients, educates future otolaryngology physicians and are leaders of the field in both clinical practice and research. They offer clinical services for our patients at the University of Utah hospital, the Hunstman Cancer Institute, Primary Children’s Medical Center and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. A significant percentage of patients who seek treatment come from the surrounding 5-state region that includes Utah, Wyoming, Nevada, Montana and Idaho. Many of our faculty hold leadership positions nationally and regionally and have been recognized in the list of The Best Doctors in America ®. The 2003-2004 list includes Drs. R. Kim Davis, Leland P. | University of Utah - Pulmonary The Pulmonary Division has 27 full-time faculty based at the University of Utah Hospital, VA Salt Lake Medical Center, and LDS Hospital. The division is responsible for adult pulmonary disease consultations, including cystic fibrosis, pulmonary function testing, arterial blood gas analysis, fiberoptic bronchoscopy including laser therapy, sleep studies, bronchoprovocation testing, and supervision and administration of the respiratory therapy services at the University of Utah Hospital, VA Salt Lake Medical Center, and LDS Hospital. At the University of Utah Hospital and LDS Hospital, the division administers and supervises the Medical Intensive Care Unit and the Shock Trauma Respiratory Intensive Care Unit. The division also is a consultant to the State Tuberculosis Program and staffs a bimonthly clinic. Occupational lung disease services are provided by a weekly clinic and consultations with industry.
